I really, really love the 24th of July. I'm pretty sure it ranks as one of my top 2 favorite holidays. My little home town really makes it what it is. I really can't explain why it is so wonderful, there is just something in the air i guess. Anyway, here are some fun parade pics.
this picture is out of order but it documents our first attempt at a 5K. they always have one on the morning of the 24th, but i am usually inbed injoying my sleep but here we were. my one goal was to not stop and i completed that. i might as well been walking for as slow as i was going but i completed the goal nonetheless. sam was sweet and stayed with me. i really was exhausted but it actually did feel good to accomplish that.
i attempted to take pictures of the fireworks. i wasn't really sure how to do it but i had fun trying. we sat right under them again and they were awe-mazing.
you know, i always say that my little marah is going to be my little athlete but she was a little too eager to join in with the cheerleaders during the parade. guess she is just going to be well rounded.
Great pics, Roxy! That looks like a lot of fun. The 24th was always way fun in my little town, too, although a lot of the traditions have kind of died out now.
there is something about the 24th that is just so fun! I wish we would have know that everyone was going to gather at your house for the parade... we would have joined in the fun!

Monticello definitely knows how to do the 24th! Laying right underneath those fireworks is one of my favorite memories! Excited to see you soon!
