Our Redd reunion was no less then incREDDible. No surprise, it always is. These reunions are always the best place to be. I am so extremely grateful for such a close and amazing family. We of course had a pinata for the kids, but i think uncle rich was a little confused, the pinata was for the kids not to be hit by the kids. This is my sis being used as a pinata stick.
One of the big high lights was the much awatied pine wood derby race. Each family did a car and there were some pretty impressive ones.
Grandma had the difficutl task of trying to judge all of the cars before they raced.
This car was my favorite. My aunt julie even dressed to match her car.
Here is the man of the hour, my dad. It makes me want to cry to try to write about it. I was so proud of him. He came up with the idea for the derby race, he hand delivered car kits to all of the aunts and uncles, and spent many hours constructing this incREDDible race track. Family has always been the most important thing to him and he proved that with how much time and effort he put into this for the whole family. I love you so much dad!! I love this picture of him starting the race.
This was my brother's car. The time and effort he put into his car impressed everyone :) It was named 'the block' and I'm pretty sure it never even finished a race. Way to go Justin!

Here is 'wedgie'. It was my cousin's car and it won the whole tournament.
Justin was the brilliant M.C. and kept everyone laughing. I guess that makes up for his lack of dedication for his car.
I had to throw this picture in. This is my bestest cousin Cody. We are 5 days apart and were best friends from birth. He is an awesome friend and I just loved this picture of him.
Besides the cars that were made according to pine wood derby specs, there was an 'anything goes' bracket as well. There were no rules so of course explosion had to be involved. That is my cousing lighting an explosive on his car and another cousin using a rocker ignitor to power his. Everyone was instructed to back away as far as possible. No one had any clue what would happen when these cars were lighted.

Here is our little family mobile. Sam came up with this lovely car. I laughed when he told me he was going to put the little people on there. I was skeptical but ended up loving it and so did everyone else. Sam wasn't too excited that the girls and I painted it pink but that is what he gets for living with a bunch of girls. It didn't win any races but at least we were in it together as a fam.
The Rau family provided awesome trophies for all the winners.
Jeremy's girlfriend, Maddie, came along for the reunion. I love my camera but I was drooling over hers. She has been into photography for a while and was so sweet to give me a ton of new pointers and teach me things about my camera. Jeremy had her older SLR and so the 3 of us went for a walk and had a blast just taking pictures together and learning from a great photographer. Thank you so much Maddie! There are a lot of BYU fans in our family so my dad recorded it and brought his t.v. out so everyone could watch. BYU won!
The Rau family also provided these awesome reunion shirt. I guess my dad was mowing the lawn one day and had an epiphany. He thought of "The IncREDDibles" to be put on the shirts. Way to go again dad! The family tree was printed on the backs as well. We all wore our shirts on sunday and I've never seen so much REDD! We have never had reunion shirts before but I quite liked it.

That's my Marah. She also loved the shirts. When I told her that her name was on the back, she got really excited and said, "it says Mars-bars!" Guess I better stop calling her that so much since she thinks it is her actual name. (sorry the next pictures are out of order)
My mom did all the details for the race track. The signs and flags.
There's the long mobile. Too bad it's in last place. Also in this picture you can see the yellow caution flags and the sign saying 'Marah's Dip'. There is a story behind it and my mom thought she was being funny with the sign and flags. The track was set up in my dad's shop for quite some time. One day the girls and I were out there helping with something and the shop doors were open. I went back in there to see what Marah was up to and was a bit horrified by what I found. Marah had pulled down her pants and was peeing in the middle of the track!! Never in her life has she done something like that! The only time she has peed anywhere but the toilet was if we are camping and we help her, that's why I kinda blame this incident on her little cousin who she has been around recently and who pees where ever he feels the need. Anyway, my dad can't get over when he came around the corner to catch me frantically trying to clean up the mess and then look up and realize I had been caught. I could've made something up but he got the truth out of me. This track was my dad's pride and joy and really didn't want kids playing around on it, let a lone peeing on it. He says there are still yellow stains where it pooled in the dip. Sorry Dad!
This is grandma watching the race and is my favorite kindof picture to capture.
Sarah wants to make calendars for everyone from the reunion so she asked me to get pictures of all the different families and then ones of the whole group. It was a stressful task but I had fun giving it a try. I posted a bunch of those pictures and also some of the ones I took on our little hike in my photo blog.
